It’s been a tough winter here in Nebraska and Iowa. Our temperatures aren’t staying consistent at all. Furnaces are heating homes with temperatures outside hitting negative numbers, then the very next day, it may be warm enough to crack open the windows in your home and let in a little fresh air. If your furnace is older or unreliable, you may worry every time you have to switch it back on. How can you tell when your furnace is starting to fail?

You’ve shoveled the walk, and laid down the salt, checked to make sure snow isn’t piled up around your outdoor condenser or furnace vent, and you’re freezing cold. You come inside to hop into a hot shower, but the dishwasher’s just finished a load and someone ran a load of bedding through the washer and you have to WAIT. It’s the worst!
